Flamed suface porphyry flags
Flamed surface flags are treated with a high temperature jet on the surface
They are obtained from slabs which are sawn and flamed so that their surface regains a colour (chromatic) and a surface (to the touch) which are very similar to natural surface, but free from the irregularities that characterise natural surface. Sides are sawn and the thickness is fixed (2, 3 or 4cm). Width varies from 20 to 40cm; length is random or fixed. These flags are mainly used for paving entrances, terraces, internal spaces and vertical walling claddings.
